What is the warranty on your plants?

Southwood agrees to:

Furnish nursery stock of the highest quality.

Warranty for 90 days from the date of purchase applies to all 7-gallon or smaller trees, shrubs, perennials and groundcovers planted by the customer.

Plants that fail to grow during the warranty period will be replaced once at no charge if they are returned along with the cash register receipt.

Warranty for 1 year from the date of installation applies to all trees, shrubs, perennials and groundcovers installed by Southwood.

Purchaser agrees to:

Plant within 7 days of purchase

Follow proper planting procedures as outlined in our instructional handouts or by sales staff

Provide appropriate watering schedule. Sprinkler systems are not always adequate; please check handouts or ask sales staff regarding individual plant needs.

Provide winter protection as necessary

Contact Southwood immediately should any questions arise regarding the care of nursery items.

The following are excluded from warranty:

  • Plants larger than 7 gallons that were not installed by Southwood
  • Any plants installed in above ground containers
  • Annuals
  • Tropicals
  • Hanging baskets
  • Weather-related damages, i.e. wind, hail, fire, freeze, flood, storms or drought
  • Disease or insect damages
  • Theft
  • Mechanical damage
  • Plants showing signs of customer neglect or improper maintenance
